One: what kind of product is suitable for forging process

Forging is a processing method that uses forging machinery to apply pressure to metal blanks to produce plastic deformation to obtain forgings with certain mechanical properties, certain shapes and sizes. Forging (forging and stamping) is one of the two major components. Forging can eliminate defects such as loose as-cast during the smelting process and optimize the microstructure. At the same time, due to the preservation of complete metal flow lines, the mechanical properties of forgings are generally better than castings of the same material. For the important parts of related machinery with high load and severe working conditions, in addition to simpler shapes that can be rolled, profiles or welded parts, forgings are mostly used.
Simply put, the movement speed is fast, the force is large, the wear is serious, and the key parts are.

Two: Different forging methods have different processes

Different forging methods have different processes. Among them, hot die forging has the longest and most complicated process. The general sequence is: blank blanking-blank heating-roll forging blank-die forging forming-trimming-punching- Correction-intermediate inspection-inspect the size and surface defects of forgings; heat treatment of forgings is used to eliminate forging stress and improve metal cutting performance; cleaning is mainly to remove surface oxide scale; correction; inspection. Generally, forgings must undergo appearance and hardness inspections. Forgings have to undergo chemical composition analysis, mechanical properties, residual stress and other inspections.

Three: Features of hot forging:

1. Improve the internal structure of the metal and improve the mechanical properties of the metal;

2. Improve the hardness and strength of the product

3. Wide application range. The mass of forgings is as small as less than 1kg and as large as hundreds of tons;

4. The use of precision die forging can make the size and shape of forgings close to finished parts.

5. Forgings with complex shapes cannot be forged
